We Love Our Work

Chiropractic is a safe, natural, drug-free, and effective method of health care. It is the third largest primary health care profession in the western world, next to medicine and dentistry, and it is one of the fastest growing.

Chiropractors on Fraser!

Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between your spine and nervous system (the brain, spinal cord, and nerves exiting the spine) and how that relationship affects the restoration and preservation of health and well-being.

Why is chiropractic care so popular?

  • Many people are looking for a more natural approach to their healthcare
  • Millions of people have enjoyed wonderful results from chiropractic care
  • Chiropractic uses no drugs or surgery and is extremely safe
  • Published research is now explaining the results that chiropractic patients have experienced over the last 100 years
  • Chiropractic is a highly cost-effective health strategy for both patients and third-party payers
  • Today’s chiropractors are highly-qualified professionals who are committed to helping babies, children and adults achieve improved health and function
Chiropractic care is primarily aimed at the detection and correction of abnormal spinal movement and position (termed the vertebral subluxation). After thorough examination and analysis, chiropractors use carefully controlled and directed pressure (adjustments) to restore proper spinal function and thereby reduce interference to the vital nervous system. Chiropractors also recognise the importance of nutrition, exercise and other lifestyle factors on overall health and will often advise on these aspects during your care.
A healthy spine and nervous system, working at its very best, can help anyone at any time in their life; regardless of age, condition, presence or absence of disease, or obvious symptoms.
Chiropractic is not a ‘treatment’ as such for any particular symptom or disease, but rather a method of helping to ensure optimal joint function and nerve communication and is thus able to effectively assist the body in healing a wide array of symptoms and conditions.
Chiropractors undergo a minimum 5-year full-time tertiary education with an emphasis on neurology, diagnostic imaging, physiology, and spinal adjusting.
If your visit is related to an accident or injury then you may qualify for ACC to help cover some of your costs. You can go direct to a chiropractor and do not need a referral from a GP.
Chiropractic services delivered by members of the NZCA are often covered by the major health insurers (eg. Southern Cross) – be sure to check your individual policy for specific inclusion and claim details.
